Committee on Judicial Ethics Quick Links Committee on Judicial Ethics Ethics Alert The Committee on Judicial Ethics occasionally renders advisory opinions that are likely to have an impact on the immediate future conduct of judicial officials in addition to the inquiring judicial official. The purpose of the "ethics alert" is to bring such relevant opinions to the attention of all judicial officials in a timely manner. 2025-01 (August 4, 2025) A Judicial Official with knowledge that another judge has committed a violation of the Code that raises a substantial question regarding the judge's fitness to serve as a judge, is obligated, under Rule 2.15 (a) and Comment (1), to report the conduct directly to the Judicial Review Council, which is the appropriate disciplinary authority.
