Issue:
May a
Judicial Official notify a federal judge who is
hearing a parallel case of the Judicial Official’s
ruling in the state court matter?
Response:
Based upon the facts presented, the Committee
unanimously decided that the Judicial Official
should not directly contact the federal Judicial
Official to bring to his or her attention the
decision in the state court matter; however, the
Judicial Official may suggest to the parties that
they do so.
