Program Objectives

  • Learn about the Judicial Branch and the services it provides
  • Gain valuable experience and references
  • Further explore career interests and vocational skills
  • Complete school mandated requirements for graduation

Qualifications and Requirements

Each applicant must:
  • Be a high school senior with an interest in the judicial system;
  • Be recommended and referred by their guidance / career counselor or other school administrator;
  • Be available to work a minimum of three hours per day two days per week (preferably in the morning);
  • Have the ability to work with diverse populations; and
  • Have the ability to maintain confidentiality.

The student and a school official must complete the two-page application and return both pages in one email to ExperientialLearning@jud.ct.gov.

Applications will be reviewed for completion and eligibility. The student and school official will be contacted by email if the student is selected for an interview.
