Court Aide Program

Program Objectives

To provide opportunities for high school students to:

  • Learn about the Judicial Branch and the services it provides
  • Gain valuable experience and references
  • Further explore career interests and vocational skills
  • Complete school mandated requirements for graduation

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Must be a high school senior with an interest in the judicial system
  • Recommended and referred by their guidance / career counselor or other school administrator
  • Be available to work a minimum of three hours per day two days per week
  • Have the ability to work with diverse populations
  • Have ability to maintain confidentiality

The student and a school official must complete the two-page application and return both pages in one email to ExperientialLearning@jud.ct.gov.

Applications will be reviewed for completion and eligibility. The student and school official will be contacted by email if the student is selected for an interview.
