Superior Court Judge John F.
Kavanewsky Jr. has scheduled a status conference in the case of
State of
Connecticut v. Michael Skakel
for Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m.
The status conference, which is
not open to the public, will be at the Superior Court in Norwalk. This
conference involving Judge Kavanewsky, the state, and the defense is for the
purpose of discussing the scheduling of a trial date. However, a trial date
may not actually be decided until a later date.
The court has not ordered the
appearance of the defendant. Therefore, the defendant may, but is not
required to, attend this conference.
