Statement Read from the
Bench on December 21, 2001, by Chief Justice William J. Sullivan Re: Reapportionment
At this time, all seven Justices
would like to commend the Reapportionment Commission for its diligence and
hard work in resolving a very difficult issue in a very professional manner.
And as it should be, the beneficiaries of your hard work will be the people
of Connecticut.
This now concludes this matter,
since the Reapportionment Commission has finished its duties under the
Constitution and has filed its reapportionment report with the Secretary of
State's Office.
