Updated Satellite Truck Advisory for State of Connecticut vs. Michael Skakel
Credentialed news organizations that parked
their satellite trucks in the Norwalk Superior Courthouse lot during the
trial of State of Connecticut vs. Michael Skakel will be allowed to
park in the same location on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2002, when sentencing is
scheduled. The setup will be similar to the one in place during the trial,
and the arrangement will remain in effect for as long as the sentencing
proceeding lasts.
Those news organizations allowed in the lot
must have confirmed by Friday, July 19, 2002, that they would be reclaiming
their parking spot in the lot.
Trucks will be allowed into the courthouse
parking lot on Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, starting at 2:15 p.m. and continuing
until 7 p.m. Trucks also will be allowed to park in the lot between 7 a.m.
and 8 a.m. on the 28th; however, news organizations are advised
to arrive on the 27th if possible.
