PRESS ADVISORY: Public Access Task Force
Will Meet Sept. 5 in Middletown

The Connecticut Judicial Branch’s Public Access Task Force will hold an informational session for the state’s judges on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006. The session is open to the public.

The meeting will go from 4 to 6 p.m. in the jury assembly room at the Superior Court in Middletown, located at 1 Court St.

Senior Associate Justice David M. Borden established the task force in May 2006 to make concrete recommendations for the maximum degree of public access to the courts, consistent with the needs of the courts in discharging their core functions of adjudicating and managing cases. Supreme Court Justice Richard N. Palmer chairs the task force.

The task force has a deadline of Sept. 15, 2006, to submit recommendations to Justice Borden. Committee reports and other information are available at: https://www.jud.ct.gov/external/news/PublicAccess/.
