SENIORS and the
LAW in New Haven The
Connecticut Judicial Branch is pleased to announce that it will
again be sponsoring a program for senior citizens and their
families entitled “Seniors and the Law.” The program will occur
on Monday, October 29, 2007
at New Haven City Hall’s Aldermanic Chambers, located at 165
Church Street. The program will run from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00
p.m., with registration from 8:30-9:00 a.m. outside the
Aldermanic Chambers, second floor.
Topics to be addressed include:
identity theft; fraud and schemes perpetrated on seniors; abuse,
neglect and exploitation of persons 60 years or older; Medicaid
fraud and physical abuse of seniors; power of attorney, durable
power of attorney for health care, living will and do not
resuscitate orders, and jury service as it applies to seniors.
Members of the public may register for the event
through the Judicial Branch’s website. For more
