Notice re: Magistrate Application

The Judicial Branch is not accepting applications at this time.
 
Magistrates are appointed by the Chief Court Administrator pursuant to C.G.S. § 51-193l.  They hear and decide small claims cases and may also hear certain infractions, motor vehicle, and other violation cases.  Appointments are effective for a three-year term.  Compensation is $200 per day and magistrates may be limited to 90 days in each fiscal year.
