Order Regarding Transfers of Affordable Housing Appeals and
Designation of Judge to Act on Behalf of the Chief Court
Administrator in Ordering Transfers of Affordable Housing Appeals

Pursuant to Subsection (f) of Connecticut General Statutes Section 8-30g, it is hereby ordered that, until further notice, all affordable housing appeals, including pretrial motions, shall be transferred to the Honorable Edward V. O'Hanlan, Presiding Judge of the Land Use Litigation Docket in Hartford, and the Honorable Claudia A. Baio, Superior Court Judge.

I hereby revoke any prior designations of judges pursuant to C.G.S.§ 51-347b to act on my or my predecessor's behalf to order transfers of affordable housing appeals.

In accordance with C.G.S. § 51-347b, I hereby designate the Honorable Edward V. O'Hanlan, Presiding Judge of the Land Use Litigation Docket of the Superior Court (Hartford), and the Honorable Claudia A. Baio, Superior Court Judge, to act, until further notice, on my behalf to order further transfers of affordable housing appeals. Any such further transfer shall be to a judge assigned by me, in accordance with C.G.S. § 8-30g(f), to hear affordable housing appeals.

Any such transfer may be ordered from the Superior Court for one Judicial District to the Superior Court in another court location within the same district or to a Superior Court location for any other Judicial District. Any such transfer only shall be ordered when required for the efficient operation of the court and to ensure the prompt and proper administration of justice.
