Information and Services for Public Librarians

Classes, Tours and Recommendations

Legal Research Programs A law librarian can visit your library and provide instruction on how to perform basic legal research using statutes, regulations, ordinances, court rules, and court opinions. We also discuss useful legal research Web sites. We can tailor the instruction to the needs of your staff, emphasizing specific legal research topics that you encounter regularly.
Tours A law librarian can provide your staff with a tour of your nearest law library. During the tour we explain the available services and resources that the Connecticut Judicial Branch Law Libraries offer to the public. While you are visiting, we can also demonstrate the resources available from our Web site, which includes over one-hundred self-help pages and research guides.
Collection Recommendation Assistance A law librarian can visit your library or speak with you on the phone about your law collections. Based on your needs, we can provide you with suggested legal titles for your law collections and answer any other questions you may have.
