Issue: During 2011,
may a Judicial Official serve as the keynote speaker
for a nonprofit civic organization’s fund-raising
program?
Response: Based
upon the facts presented, including that the
organization is not concerned with the law, the
legal system or the administration of justice, the
Committee members in attendance unanimously
determined that speaking at the fund-raising program
would violate Rule 3.7(A)(4).
