Notice - Court Fee Revisions Effective July 1, 2004

The following revisions to court fees are effective, July 1, 2004 pursuant to Public Act 04-2, May, 2004 Special Session. Section 112 of the act repeals C.G.S. section 52-259d, which imposed the $5.00 additional fee on certain civil filings in July 2001. Accordingly, the civil entry fee for actions where the amount in demand is less than $2,500, for Summary Process, Landlord and Tenant, and Paternity Actions will be reduced to $120.00, effective July 1, 2004.

Section 13 of the act increases the entry fee for civil actions where the amount in demand is $2,500.00 or more, for dissolutions of marriage, legal separation and annulment. The increase is from $220.00 to $225.00 so the total amount due for these filings remains $225.00.
