Windham Judicial District Ceremony Donald E. Williams, Jr. and Judge Michael Riley are Windham JD Law Day Honorees
The Windham Judicial District observed Law Day on Monday, May 4, 2015 at Danielson Superior Court. Members of the Windham County Bar Association (WCBA) were joined by court staff and the judges of the district for a program that featured remarks given by University of Connecticut History Professor Brendan Kane. Professor Kane provided insights about the origins of the Magna Carta – this year’s Law Day theme.

WCBA President Howard B. Schiller presented this year’s Liberty Bell award to Donald E. Williams, Jr., former President Pro Tempore of the Connecticut State Senate. Mr. Williams was recognized for his many years of dedicated service to the people of the State of Connecticut and Windham County.

Judge Edward Graziani presented a special award to Windham Judicial District Administrative Judge Michael E. Riley in recognition of his years of service to the district. Judge Riley’s term as Administrative Judge concludes on August 31, 2015. The award was given by the WCBA.
