Law Day 2016 - Miranda: More Than Words
Connecticut Bar Association / Connecticut Appellate Court

Supreme Court  |  Litchfield Superior Court  |  Stamford Superior Court  |  2016

On May 4th, the Connecticut Bar Association (CBA) hosted students from CREC Public Safety Academy of Enfield and Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School of New London during its Law Day Ceremony as part of a mock School Student Review Panel, which helped explore the Law Day theme, Miranda: More Than Words.

Using a mock student school board proceeding, the students viewed and discussed four hypothetical situations between students and various authority figures to illustrate some of the principles underlying Miranda. Students from the CREC Public Safety Academy were Student Panel Members and those from Bennie Dover Jackson Middle School were the Complainants. (Continued below slideshow)
